Message from Maughold Social Club
MAUGHOLD LIGHTHOUSE CENTENARY
With the kind permission of
the Northern Lighthouse Board and Dr Dunmore, owner of the lighthouse
residence, we are able to invite you to come and climb Maughold
Lighthouse Tower
You are also invited to come
and see an exhibition about the
Lighthouse in Maughold Church Hall.
We would like children to make
Lighthouse craft items to go on display there and for those of a more
competive nature (children and adults alike) to enter a competition for the best photograph of Maughold Lighthouse. Refreshments will be available in the Church Hall.
This event is free to current paid up members of the Social
Club (remember, you don’t have to live in the Parish to join the club), The cost to non-members is
Adults £3; Children £2; No Children under 1 metre in
height can be admitted.
NLB regulations require that
no more than 8 people can ascend the tower at one time and so tickets will be
issued for a specific time between 10.30am and 4.30pm. There is a steep climb back
up the lighthouse steps following your climb up the Lighthouse Tower
